Hi CR list, I would roughly agree with David on the age of the "ugly Cinelli I would guess 1986-1989 IMHO....I have one, I bought used, less wheels with Campy Chorus and Synchro (click) DT shifters. The fork crown, seat tube stays, and rear drop outs look the same. The graphics (ugly) and the paint on mine red with yellow rival the gray and pink for poor taste. But hey its a Cinelli and I had just started collecting....The rear spacing measures 126mm with no wheel in frame. Originally I thought the rear spacing to be 130mm when I measured with a steel tape measure with a wheel in the frame. The quality of the frame work is not bad but it sure isn't like the old Cinelli's.If any list members have a more definitive date on the "ugly Cinelli" in question I would appreciate their informed opinion also like Charlie Young who posed the original question.
