Subject: [CR]FS : 1952 Flying Scot (Frame No.62A)

I'm offering for sale one of my Flying Scot's. I have set up a web page to give the full details and photographs at http://freespace.virgin.net/bob.reid1/page36.htm , however here is a short description ;

Flying Scot (Frame No.62A)

This bicycle is the epitome of the 1950's British 'club' lightweight touring bike. Designed and handbuilt by David Rattray & Co. Ltd. of Glasgow in 1951 and sold to the original owner in April 1952, this 21" (c-t) frame uses full Reynolds '531' butted tubing and uses Prugnat lugs. As specified originally by the owner it is equipped with 26 x 1.1/4" wheels with Dunlop Lightweight aluminiun alloy rims, Chater-Lea cranks, Sturmey-Archer 4-speed alloy-bodied 'FM' rear hub and a T.F.Blumfield 'Duralite' front hub. The frame was re-enamelled in 1999 by Bob Jackson Cycles Ltd., and is a faithful copy of the original Maroon colour and detailing, including both lug and double-box lining of all frame tubes and fork legs in gold.

$725.00

Shipping will be extra charged at cost with the buyers agreement. Payment can be made in cash with dollars or by money order or American Express Travellers cheques in US Dollars.
