Subject: [CR]Surprise in New Jersey (resend)

I'm back for a second week in New Jersey, so since I'm getting pretty bored of my hotel room, I decided to make a trip after work Monday. I went to Ridgefield Cycles in Ridgefield, NJ since someone mentioned them once. I was wandering through and wasn't too impressed until I got to the back of the store and spotted the Brian Baylis and Richard Sachs frames! They turned out to be a little too big for me (otherwise I would have traded in the company car) but were very, very impressive pieces. The owner (I didn't get his name) said that they were a friend's of his that had another Sachs (25th Annv.) and a Seven. The Baylis was a golden yellow with a white headtube (flawess paint) in 57mm and the Sachs was RS's drop dead red, never builtup in 58mm ... The owner handed them to me and we talked about lugs and framebuilders (him, "Have you heard of Rivendell?"). I didn't ask the price (why break my heart?) but I said I would mention them on the list in case anyone's interested. I did buy a Terry saddle @ retail for my wife so I didn't walk out emptyhanded.

My choice? Well, when I hit the lottery, my first call will go to Brian, I'll hang up, then I'll dial Richard.
