Subject: [CR]Cinelli serial numbers project

If you have a Cinelli from the classic period (1955 -> 1985) please send me the serial number from under the BB.

I've just committed to take Spence Wolf's Cinelli serial number listings and turn them into HTML, simple listing with Serial Number, Date Sold, and Current Owner (if known). I'd like to merge the serial numbers and current owners of any other Cinellis known to list members so as to come up with a comprehensive listing and allow us to (hopefully) establish the date of manufacture or sale of other Cinellis out there.

This info has been graciously supplied by Vance Sprock of Cupertino Bike Shop.

There is a similar master list for Hetchins, and it is a real puzzle becuase it looks like the builders changed numbering schemes about every month. Hopefully this project will result in something a little more useable.

So if you have a Cinelli, put the serial number, date of sale if known, and your name into an email with the words CINELLI PROJECT in the subject line, and the chart will be posted on http://www.velo-retro.com sometime "real soon".
