not sure that bike messengers would fit that well into our subject area...from the tone of the review one might gather that this class of rider doesn't go in much for the classics but rather might use more utilitarian sorts of wheels...sounds as though their equipment gets pretty thoroughly thrashed as they go about their rounds....
can't help agreeing that a situation which promoted 'more bikes/less cars' (and a few less trucks, as well) would be useful to all....
