Subject: [CR]Campy OS cups

Hi listies: Back in '72 I assembled a road bike on a Gitane Super Course frame I got bare from Ted Ernst Jr.Put in a French Sugino bottom bracket and a Stronglight V4 head. The original bike had been "full Campy" but I was snobbing on always using Campy substitutes at the time.Well,my fixed cup was repeatedly coming loose on long rides.A man of long experience at my LBS listened to my tale, and said that Campy bottom brackets of any thread were OS of the nominal,so I should take out the Sugino cups and use vero Campagnolo.Worked just fine. Now we see that Campag cups won't go into nominal threads from a common tap because they are OS in any case.I don't doubt that Cups for worn threads also exist...
