There was a braze-on version? Didn't know that (obviously I don't have one).

You could probably make one - I just compared a first-generation Superbe rear to a Vx long-cage and it looks like the cage and pivot should interchange nicely. In the case of the Cyclone GT, the only difference from the short-cage model is the cage itself, so you can make a GT with the cage from a VGT or VxGT (get the Luxe version for an aluminum cage).

Worth a try anyway.

As it happens, I'd like to find a very-good-to-excellent first-generation Superbe front derailleaur, clamp-on, *with* the cable stop. Anyone have one? Mine is a bit rough and the detachable cable stop is missing.
