I'm slowly working on my '64 Gran Premio project, it's got great (nearly perfect) decals and it's going to be a rider, so I'm not looking to have it completely 'restored'. It's got a number of good sized marks and scratches, and while I like 'patina' this one currently has a bit too much.
I'm not concerned about the touch up de-valuing the bike, it cost me almost nothing, and maybe someday I'll go all out and have CyclArt redo it. But for the moment I'm wondering if anyone has a good (or reasonably good at least) method for touching up the Legnano lime green colour?
Something like: put a layer of silver down then overcoat that with a thinned bit of 19XX Chrysler spray bomb from your local auto supply? Anyone have any thoughts or experience with attempting to retouch this colour?
Thanks in advance,
