if this practice is illegal, then I am guilty...along with thousands if not millions of others. Tons of auctions charge additional 2.9% and other fees to cover credit card usage and fees. This practice is in many retail stores as well especially on special items orders. I don't believe it is illegal. I guess this is the Handling fee in the shipping and handling. Just how is handling defined? Is it defined by packaging materials, and transporting fees to the post office,?? I guess the only way of handling these fees in the future is by charging an extra 1-2 bucks for S&Handling. Curious in Falls Creek

>I am sure the reason that Paypal had issue with with the added $3.00 Paypal

>charge on the auction is that practice I believe is illegal. Remember when

>gas companys would offer a cash price and a credit price? Not any more. A

>customer can not be penalized for using a credit card.

>

>Now discounts for cash happen all the time, but they are certainly under the

>table.
