I had a pre broken in Brooks pro supplied with my Rene Herse Tourer that was
treated somehow. I had an employee trade in an oak hard Pro that I found in
an old box after he left us. I don't know how far he rode it be it looked new
and had no evidence of softening.
I broke the Brooks Pro Saddle in Zero miles! Not 100! I used a well oiled tension screw, a can of proofhide, a heatgun and two old ATB inner tubes. The saddle has the new shape (no sagging) but is soft as butta.
