I have just been given an old Holdsworth cycle, it came with no information regarding age or wheter it was an origional spec or if it was a build up. Perhaps someone who sees this can enlighten me? The frame and forks are reynolds 531 and are painted a pearlascent cherry purple with creambanding on both the down and seat tubes. These cream bands have multi coloured world champion bands at their conjunction with the main colour. There is a large Holdsworth decal on the down tube and two small" horse and swords" decals on the head and seat tubes. The components list is as follows; 36 hole Lambert hubs built on unknown rims (the rear is 5 speed); Zeus cranks, rings and bottom bracket with Rossignol pedals and Olympic clip and spraps; Zeus cosmos rear mech and shimano(with fleur de lys style embossing) front mech; SR Royal stem and Italmanubri bars; Birmalux seatpin and plastic Royal Gt saddle; Shimano 600 shifters and Weinman type 730 brakes and levers. As a newcomer to the classic bike scene I apologise if this is all just a load of rubbish or isn't even "classic" at all, still I like to know how old the bike is or if it has a specific model name. Advance thanks to anyone who replies. Gerry.
