Well, I too had a Medici in the mid-80's. There were quite a few sold in the Memphis area by the old Hickory Hill Bike Shop. I picked up a used Pro Strada that the original owner had ordered with eyelets and commuted on it for a couple of years. It was "retired" when a car hit me. A couple of friends still have Medicis they bought in the early and mid-80's. I will say the paint on all of them seems just fine. It seems most people are complaining about paint problems with frames repainted by Medici. All the Medicis I saw around town were nice, paint held up, but nothing real fancy.
