i received an email from a member of the Nitany Velo club regarding a bike swap which will be taking place in Central PA.
On Saturday March 17th we are holding our first annual Bike Swap. The swap meet will be at the State College High School South Building, from 8:00am until 2:30pm. This is in State College, Pa. The High School is located on on Westerly Parkway. Relatively easy to find and easy to park.
I asked him regarding classic bikes and received the below response: Classic Cycling Group? That sounds great! We have a few locals interested in collecting and retstoring vintage bikes. And I know of a few interesteing items that may be for sale at the Bike Swap. We are also including a few show bikes for display during the Bike Swap. One guy has a couple old wood rimmed track bikes (I think his father and grandfather raced the bikes he has), and also an antique tandem he wants to bring out. Plus Randy Moore (from the Bicycle Shop) is a serious collector. We have a few other interesting vintage bikes that we are expecting at the show. Would you like to display any show bikes? Or would the Classic Cycling Group be interested joining us? Either to display bikes, or to be vendors, or both?! Does the club have official judged Bike Shows? Maybe we could include one during our event. I really like that idea!
If anyone is interested. let me know. I will be getting some flyers shortly in the mail. I think this would be a great event to take place in central Pa. I know I will be there. This will be their first year and they are already talking about incorparating classic folks...lets help them out. Thanks.

P.S. I remember seeing the words "free" on the original website regarding cost to setting up a booth...just thought I would mention it.
