Gilbert,

The bike belonged to someone from LaJolla ,last name Dietrich (could be spelled a different way). Don't know it it was the mans bike or womans; I believe a mans judging by the saddle. The Meteor Steve Friedes bought not long ago belonged to same person as this Herse. This person passed away and the wife I hear didn't want to deal with the bikes so they were donated to St. Vincent de Paul or something. The person selling them on ebay literally paid $20 for each bike at auction. It really makes me heartsick now, knowing that the owner doesn't really care about the bike and is going to sell it to the highest bidder (overseas naturally) where it's original home land will never see it again. I have seen this bike in person now. Business is business, but this really breaks my heart.
