Hi Patrick If my un-reliable memory serves me correctly, the Maserati family sold their car interests to either Fiat, Citroen or was it, heaven forbid, Ford. They then concentrated their effort on the then booming racing bike market and had their frames built by some large Italian company like Fiorelli who built the Coppi frames among others. I do recall seeing a Road & Track mag (ugh!) from that era where some fat assed car journalist road tested a Maserati bike with full Canpy N.R. on the quarter mile straight to check out its 0-60 rating. I can't remember if he ever made it to the end! I'm sure it is a nice bike and has historical significance as I think the venture was short lived. This info is not to be taken as the gospel Regards, Robert-toe clips-Murray, Toronto
