Notice where they're located - La Jolla. I passed through there on vacation last Spring, and $2000 is lunch money for some of the locals!! I got a $70 parking ticket at a metered spot, after seeing half a dozen Rolls Royces and five V12-equipped BMW 8-series cars....

P.S. Anyone know of an interesting early '70s French 60 cm c-t road frameset for sale? I am looking to build one up with all early Campy SR. Would want one requiring a 26.4 post and French threads....
