John Alden-48 years old, 40 of those years in the bicycle business through parents bicycle store, VP Specialized in the early 80's, store owner in Chico, CA, mid-life crisis(Worked for the darkside of the business-product manager,Performance and Bikes USA), now back to Chico store owner.

My retro fever has been recently awakened by digging through the boxes of bicycle parts I have trucked around the country. I have owned three Schwinn Paramounts, Puch Bergmeister, Stella, 3Rensho(Specialized Alley), Italian LeMond, Ron Cooper, Vitus, Trek 5500, and too many more to count. All of the bikes listed above were Campy equipped except the Trek. The only bike that I currently still have is the Ron Cooper, all Campy Super Record. I am in the process of rebuilding my 73 year old mothers full Super Record Tommaso. Her other bicycle is a 1971 Schwinn Ladies Paramount that I have in my garage.

I just discovered the wonders of Ebay and have sold a number of old Campy derailleurs and am looking for the more Italian bicycles to rebuild.

My non bicycle interests are my wife and two boys, my 1965 Porsche 356C and Carolina Basketball. Go Heels!!!!!!!
