Howdy,
In the box is interesting. The model is most likely an AO-8 which is sort of a UO-8 (very popular) model with wingnuts in place of the UO-8's QR wheels. Also the brakes and levers were a little different.
It's very valuable as the wingnuts off the wheels alone have been Shill(sic) bidded to over $10.00 each on E-Bay. I suspect part by part this bike would be very valuable.
Hope this is ofsome help.
Yours on the road,
Gilbert Anderson

<< I have the opportunity to buy a 70's vintage Peugeot mixte frame bike brand new in the box. I haven't seen it yet but the seller says that the box has been opened, that it is orange and that it is wrapped in brown crepe paper. Of course this is not a high end bike but the fact that it is still in the box makes it kind of interesting. Is the model number of that bike AO-8 or AO-18 or something like that? That is the number that pops into my mind but I could be way off. The picker that is selling it says that he paid $50 for it at a yard sale which is pickereese for "I won't take less than $50". Does this bike strike anyone's fancy? Jamie Swan >>
