I'm sure that Dale would comply with a request from a source who wanted their material removed now that the site is commercial. Since we weren't paid to begin with, the actual change for us submitters is minimal. My understanding is that the site had to take sponsors to defray the costs of a seperate hosting agreement, the site having gotten too big to fit under the Cycles De Oro umberella any more. I don't suppose that Dale's sponsors (one of which is himself!) are making him rich for the privilege of advertising on Classic Rendevous.
My only complaint is that Dale's only posted one set of the pics I've sent him, and that for my wife's bike. Arrgh! I'll just have to keep collecting until I get a bike of my own on Classic Rendevous. I sort of hear Dr. Hook singing "Cover of the Rolling Stone" in the background.
"Well I'm a vintage bike nut, All my frames have lugs And my shifters don't index, NO! I ride em in rain, till my legs feel the pain, And then I go the swap meet show.
I got a PX10 and a Raleigh Pro, A red Marinonni, Woo! And I never get richer, But I can't get a picture on the Classic Bike Rendevous.
