If Orlando is anything like Texas, the attic can get very hot. I keep mine well vented, but when it is 110 outside the attic is closer to 130+. I keep metal parts in the attic, but no leather, tires, etc. Rim tape glue will melts in the attic, but I have not had any paint damaged.
My good bikes all stay in the house.
