Now, correct me if I am mistaken ... but wouldn't the nicer Gran Compe centerpulls have filled that niche? SunTour's branded sidepulls were Dia- Compe/Gran Compe products with ST's name, correct? And they came when the market began to rumble more towards a single brand name on a bike, right?

While Dia-Compes are all over the place, I seem to find more Gran Compe levers than calipers ... and all the calipers I find these days seem to be sidepulls. That said, I'll look in my boxes o' stuff, because I think at one point I might have actually had some real Gran Compe cps ...
