I presume this is a different bike than the American-made titanium Merlin, since the only titanium production frames around in the early 70's were Speedwell, Teledyne and perhaps the mysterious Flema.

I guessed that the frame was from the early to mid 70's since it had 120mm rear dropout spacing and the only braze-ons were for the rear derailler cable housing on the right chainstay and for the derailler cables on top of the bottom bracket. According to the framemaker's (Bob Jackson) records the frame was built in '82. Were frame making trends in England different during this period or am I missing something else?
