For those CR listees and the rest of the world for whom it matters, there are even some shops that contribute (and even organize) our group that carry a variety of tires in this size.

We actually keep the 27" in a separate room (along with 700D , 650B, 28x1.75, and other non 700c's) from the more popular 700c size. I can't speak for Sheldon or Dale, but we have Specialized, IRC, Conti in a few styles, and a very popular Panaracer.
