That's correct, the Gitane is about an '82 vintage if memory serves, well used with lots of "patina". It is displayed at Cupertino Bike Shop, (http://www.cupertinobike.com) along with a time trial bike ridden by Indurain and a Concorde ridden by Sean Kelly.

One of Lemond's bikes (a Gitane) is in a private bike collection and gets displayed from time to time. I think the collection has some connection to Cupertino Bike Shop in California. David Feldman
