I'm trying to bring back from the dead an old Swallow type Mansfield saddle. It has hairline cracks in various parts. What is the best way to deal with it?
Also, does cracked leather, like rust, continue to spread even if treated with a conditioner. I am starting to use a generous amount of Connolly's Hide Food which seems more effective than Proofhide.
