Details so far:
Dates: October 6 and 7 (follows Las Vegas Interbike Show by three days)
Locations: South Pasadena, California Pasadena, California
Venues: La Casita del Arroyo, Pasadena -- Built in 1933, this "little house" which is constructed of stones from the famous Pasadena Arroyo and wood from the 1932 Los Angeles Olympic Velodrome, is nestled in the rustic Arroyo Seco close by the Rose Bowl. The architect was Myron Hunt.
Garfield Park, South Pasadena -- Turn of the Century park with shade trees, rolling lawns, rose gardens and picnic pavilions.
Schedule: October 6, Saturday -- Velo Symposium (guest speakers, discussion and bike display), 10am to 3pm at Casita del Arroyo (lunch will be catered), followed by a vintage ride in the afternoon and dinner at a local restaurant.
October 7, Sunday -- Vintage bike ride at 9am from Garfield Park, followed at 10:30am by vintage bike show, parts exchange, and BBQ picnic.
Price (not finalized) $30 for two days that includes catered lunch Saturday, BBQ Sunday plus admissions to all events.
Notes: There will be a list of bikes that will be shown. Single day admission price not worked out yet. Room Capacity for La Casita is 75 people. Group rates at a Pasadena Hotel to be announced. A list of Pasadena area motels will be provided. Burbank airport is conveniently close by. Venues have been booked so this event is a definitely happening!
