On Sunday, June 10th, there will be an Italian theme vintage bike ride in San Diego. The ride will start in Balboa Park in front of he Auto Museum, if we can't park there because of other events going on we will meet across Park blvd at Presidents way in front of the old Naval Hospital. We will meet at 9:45 A.M. and depart at 10:00 A.M. My cell # is 619-239-3157 if you have any difficulties. The ride heads north and west through Balboa Park through Mission Hills, Presidio Park,Old Town,Rides along the San Diego river to Ocean Beach, then up to the Point Loma light house with an optional ride down to the tide pools. Then we travel down to the San Diego bay past the Star of India sailing ship and stop for fish and chips at Anthony's fishette. We finish the ride with a tour of the historic Gas Lamp Quarter Down Town and then up the hill to Balboa Park. So dust off your Italian Masis, Cinellis, Bianchi,Legnano,Frejus,Olmo,De Rosa,Pogliaghi,Colnago Super,Tomassini,Guerciotti,Motta etc.. Brian Baylis will be bringing one of his early 60's Nurvex pro lugged Masi Specials and I will bring my '71 Italian Grand Criterium.
