No it's not depressing at all, at least they've survived where others have failed. Also I've seen Legnano "city" bikes as far back as the early-60s. Those fenders date from this time and were quite popular on bikes not designed for full touring. For anyone that thinks it's bad that companys have moved from the "tried-and-true", I must ask would you rather they went belly up? enjoy, Brandon Ives
