The Bianco story Scott tells is the one I've heard and its been confirmed at what I consider to be the highest level. Bianco workmanship is steller. And, as an interesting aside, Bianco built the intial Alex Singer bikes in the late 1930's. Eventually, I believe, he trained Alex Singer and the Csuka brothers in framebuilding. The French historian Raymond Henry confirms in his article on Alex Singer bicycles the role of Bianco (although with no details).

I hope others may have more info on Bianco as he may be one of the most important frame builders of the period, and completely unknown! Mike Kone
