I have a set of these on my mid eighties Raleigh, however I have not been convinced that they would be the best choice for a high end period correct clincher rim. I have seen tables that indicate that the MA40 was by no means the lightest clincher of its time. I will say that they seem lively and look nice ( mine are anodized gray-black). Why would you seek these out, Tony? What was the history of the MA40, and for how many years was it made? Who sells NOS? ( Lastly, how do they compare to modern clincher rims in functionality?---- Modern clincher rims without eyelets look naked to me now that I have learned to look) Garth.
