Well, since Chuck invited out the lurkers I guess I'll unlurk. Hi Chuck! Coming to the swap meet in Mill Valley? Tim Mitoma here, been riding lugged steel since I used some college money to buy a Paramount in 1971, thus confirming my mother's suspicions that her son was indeed insane for spending $400(!!!) for a bicycle. Have diversified to other materials and joining methods but I won't sully the list with their names. Anyway, the only unrider I know of is the NOS Cinelli that I believe Mike Kone acquired from the esteemed John Barron and I think it should stay unused and displayed someplace as a tribute to Cino. I was starting a mini Bridgestone museum of NOS bikes but realized my idea was goofy and sold them off. I used to be a motorhead and had a '65 GT350 Mustang and Sunbeam Tiger and now when I see someone that owns one acting like it's a Fabrege egg it gives me indigestion. A local rider bought an ex-Musseuw bike and broke it while sprinting. I think it was a fitting end. Agreed, Chuck, things like that are made to be used and enjoyed.
