TThere's at least one picture in the "Data Book" dated 1947. There's a "maybe" picture in Raymond Henry's French derailleur history book, of a Reyhand touring bike from 1936. It's a shot of the right side of a bike, there's no clamp visible below the tube, but the shift lever's cable barrel are big enough to obscure one. David Feldman
