I was given what I believe was an AO-8(white w/ half chrome fork) and it too
had a seamed fork. Scary looking, I could slip a piece of paper into the seam
in places.
Was it just rolled into a fork blade and depended on the brazing at each end
to hold it together?
The UE-8 I have had a Tange fork when I got it, wonder what happened to the
other fork..........
