I've dealt with this a bunch because of making estimates. The real trick is if something happens getting your actual value from it. More than once I've seen someone get $600 for a bike worth +$1500 because the insurance company paid either replacement value or "original" value. If you have any actual collectors you need to get them appraised so you don't get $800 for that $8000 Masi. For real "collections" I do think it's a rider above your standard insurance. Call your agent and talk to them about your bike parts being the same as a stamp or coin collection. good luck, Brandon"monkeyman"Ives
