Hello all,
I've used Tire Alert a couple of times now and have had good luck so far, knock on wood! Although the base tape was different, thinner and smaller, it was well glued. I also like to place a small amount of liquid latex on the sidewalls and base tape for protection. Before gluing the tire on the rim I rough-up the latex coating on the base tape. Question for those who know, what if you don't use base tape? I've tried this before and have not had any problems. Is this bad?
