A little WD-40 on a rag will work, just try to keep it away from the tire, but I've never had any problem with the tire - it gets exposed to oil on a regular basis, anyway. I then use a little dish detergent and water on a rag to wipe off the WD-40.
My post-glueing routine is to wash my hands in WD-40 to get rid of the glue then dish washing soap to get rid of the WD-40.
