that's not 'the' twin plate crown. it is a plain fisher sand-cast crown that has seen the buzz saw! seriously... some late 60s/early 70s italian masi frames had this treatment. eddy merckx's 69/70 faema frames show this feature often. there is sometimes a small hole drilled on the side of each blade pocket too. the twin plate crown that is seen on some cali masi frames is very different from this auctioned masi. e-RICHIE http://www.richardsachs.com
