I was thinking that maybe ultra modern bicycles may not be very collectable at all in the future. When the only redeeming factor is the use of the latest technology this easily gets overshadowed by future perceived improvements. Many of the lightweight goodies of the 70's and 80's are quite inexpensive today. If you look at the same trend in cars, in some circumstances full blown race cars of the past, even Indy cars can be picked up for a song. Just a thought.
