I'm working on a slightly shortened, concurrent slower version of this fabulous vintage Matt Gorski/JB ride for riders who are slower, including my husband Al and girlfriend Janie, both on [mostly] classic Bianchis. We will rendezvous (pun intended) at Huntington Beach bikepath, catching the throng as they come by, but have a bit slower pace and a few more pauses, meeting up with all eventually at Newport Pier. A similar program would occur for the return trip, followed by a motor over to the famous Gorski garage for denouement.
Anybody interested in this pace, including wives, girlfriends, significant others, who may not be able to keep up quite yet or who hate riding on *real* streets as opposed to bikepaths is encouraged to email me privately at PaulieFlt@yahoo.com for the specifics. This might be a neat way to get someone you love more in love with their bike and still get yourself a good workout.
