Those with an interst in 60's and 70's Campy stuff might want to check out Ebay auction #1176856855. Does anyone have information regarding this unusual NR bottom bracket? It has thick-walled cups with the rifled spindle passage, like a normal NR, but the exterior surface of the fixed cup is flat, like a Record, GS, SR, etc. NR BBs normally have a "trough" machined on the face of the fixed cup. I assume this is a very early NR. Does anyone know when / how long they were made this way? Are all BB's like this pre-CPSC and for 120mm drivetrains? This is not the first NR that I've seen using this fixed cup, but I've only seen a couple of others.
Oh, yeah: no relation to seller, bidders, &c.
