Hi Sarah: That last phrase touchs on the key point here... "Rusted out" means in this case from the inside out. I have seen zillions (?) of rusted-to-hell frames but no FrameSaver in the world would have made a difference with them. They were attacked by oxidation from the exterior, not interior! We had a maybe 3 -4 year old Serotta frame rust out from the inside fairly recently.. It was interesting as it was a tig welded frame and there was no vent hole between the seta tube and the cylindrical bottom bracket shell. Apparently after being ridden in all weather circumstances, water just filled up the bottom half of the seat tube and rusted it away! (Bordered on a defective construction technique in my book!)
I still like to use FrameSaver ... What the heck!
