Haro To Distribute Masi Road Bikes VISTA, CA (BRAIN)—Haro will distribute Masi road bikes in 2002 and could buy the Masi trademark and brand name under the agreement. Haro will show four Masi models at the Interbike Expo this year and officials plan on having models ready to sell by February 2002. "With the growth in sales of road bikes our reps have been pushing us to do road bikes for the last three years," said Jim Ford, president of Haro. "But I didn't want to dilute our core business so this deal worked out great for everyone," he said. Masi dealerships will be established on an individual basis apart from Haro's existing dealer base. "While we expect many of our existing dealers to sell Masi, we welcome inquiries from those who do not currently have a relationship with Haro," said Joe Hawk, Haro's vice president of sales. Several companies have distributed the Masi brand in the United States, but it has been dormant in this country for the last several years. Bicycle Retailer Editorial Staff —August 6, 2001
