A list of some of the top pros who have ridden Masi's was recently posted , most of them were riding Masi's with other brand names or trade team decals . A good friend of mine went to Italy in either 65 or 66 and stopped in Milan specifically to buy a Masi . The only 59cm frame in stock was a FAEMA team frame that had never been picked up, Masi agreed to build it up and ship it to him . My friend asked Masi if it bothered him to sell frames with other peoples names on them , Masi took him to a cabinet and pulled out one of the drawers, it was full of decals , " I build frames for a lot of people and every one knows it" I raced on Bianchis in the mid 60's , I owned four of them , between 19 and 20 I had a growth spurt of 2" and went from a 60cm to a 62cm , oh joy a new track bike and a new road bike .I loved the Specialissimas . Bianchi is driven by the market and the market says tig welded thin walled tubes are in , I bought one of the XL Boron frames last year , its a wonderful ridding frame but I don't expect it to last 20 years .
