The opinion is 100% FOR adding the S&S couplings to a "non-collectible" vintage bike.
OK, who on the list has a "rider" frame they want to sell that is basically straight, 60 CM (maybe a 58), needs paint, preferably has fender clearance, and would make a good candidate for this sort of surgery?
I'm thinking a frame in the $$ 250-400 range.
Thanks!

If it was a bike that is replaceable and not one that you won't find in the next 10, 20 years or for that matter ever, a Confente, my Rauler, I wouldn't hesitate to put couplings on it if that would mean I would get to ride it that much more. Of course I ride my bikes and don't just hang them for show.
Just do it and pedal on.
Mark, won't get to 80 and wish I would have ridden that bike more, Poore
