All this talk about fork rakes and bends prompts me to ask the list a question about a Spectrum fork that I have. It is on a lugged Tom Kellogg Spectrum frame. The inside bend (front) of the fork has 'ripples' on both fork blades, but the paint isn't cracked or broken, indicating to me that the ripples were present prior to painting. The forks are straight and I've had no problems, it is just strange to me that they aren't smooth like all my other forks. I don't have other steel Spectrum forks to compare this too and I've never seen it on another fork. My first guess is that someone tried to add more bend and screwed it up, but this looks like the original paint and I can't imagine Tom Kellogg letting something like that out if it is a problem. Any ideas? Lou, "fall has arrived in Florida--didn't get to 90 yesterday!" Deeter, Orlando FL
