I have never encountered a brake that stops as fast as the CLB 2 brakesets. They are the "self-energizing" ones that have a skewed pivot point They use the rim drag to engage the brakes even harder. They appear to work too well...so I pulled them off the thrift store UO-8 they were on (yes) and will save them for the right french bike...whatever that is. Anyone know whether they they are classic or not? Maybe they are 80's gear.
