I think you meant eBay #1060782853, but the braze on that this was meant to fit was more like a water bottle braze on. A simple threaded hole. If I recall correctly.

There is a Simplex/Spidel front derailleur on eBay (#1060781395) which is a braze-on, but as the seller states..."it will not fit a traditional braze-on attachment.."
I also have one of these (about 13 years now) and have wondered what it was designed to fit? Anyone know?
