The 52 Dawes Red Feather I'm working on has a short reach Weinmann center pull on the front. It has the red label with Weinmann 610 Vanqueur 999 on it. The rear is the same brake, long reach, without the label, and just Weinmann 999 stamped on it, no red label. I thought at first that just the red label had come off, and on another brake I have, the red label was peeling off. When I looked under the peeling label there was no stamped Weinmann 999. My assumption is that these are two different vintages off Weinmann 999s, with the rear, the one without the label, being older. Is that right. If it is, does anyone have the older, short reach to match the rear? I also need a TA front rack, preferably in a used condition to match the rear rack.Thanks.
