Okay, now you might say I'm totally nuts here, but I think Campy may have made three reaches of block-logo calliper arms. I have no "normal" reach callipers in my possession, but I remember what they look like and I remember that they were spec'd. as being about 10mm longer than the short reach. Of my two sets of arms, one set is a few mm shorter than the other. If you assemble one arm of each size onto a center bolt, they do not meet up when you bring the ends together. The difference is not as large as with the normal-reach short-reach difference. I'd say it's about 3 or 4 mm. If you give a s*&! about this I can measure the difference tonight. I will also note which arm has which marking.

Also, I have noticed that the cross section of the arms did vary (script logo changes aside). It seems like the arms became more slender (and shinier) in the later block logo models.

By the way, it seems to me that in addition to being one of the world's best classic framebuilders, you may be the leading authority on changes in NR and SR parts. Do you keep a record of your observations? I try to keep notes when I find variations in markings, etc. but it's pretty much a jumble. I have seen lots of "differences" that never get acknowledged by most collectors, but it is nearly impossible to decipher the actual dates of these changes and difficult to even put them into sequence.
