EROICA!

Check out the vintage bike racing event called "Eroica" in the February 4 issue of VeloNews®. It is 125 km, some of it on dirt roads in Tuscany at Gaiole between Florence and Rome.

Racing bikes from the fifties, from the thirties and even some from pre Turn of the Century! Last year's version had 60 riders entered and ranged from youngsters to guys in their fifties and sixties.

This year's event is September 28-29 and Andy Hampsten's touring group, Cinghiale Cycling Tours, will end its Super Tuscan itinerary at the race (Andy will be riding it).

Show of hands! Who is up for this event? I'm seriously thinking of entering with my 1939 Bianchi or my 1954 Bianchi.
